Brilliant Blue Apatite Earrings Are Drop Dead Gorgeous

Nothing says glamor more than a pair of drop earrings. Nothing lifts your spirits up like a pair of drops and nothing says “red carpet” like a pair of earrings - it’s that simple. Gemstone, or just plain precious metal, earrings should be a girl’s go-to accessory. And what fun it is to don a pair of drop dead gorgeous blue apatite earrings to match your maxi dress!

Our collection includes some lovely apatite earrings. Apatite gemstones have been mistaken in the past for peridots and other beryls, due to their inherent “sparkling” similarity. No wonder, the word apatite itself comes from the Greek word apatos, which translates to “deception.” But trust us, there is nothing devious or deceptive about apatites. The deep azure blue sparkle is mesmerizing to say the least. Apatites pair very well with chrome diopsides or more opaque gemstones like turquoise.

A relatively softer Mohs scale rating of 5.0, apatite gemstones have been mined all over the world, including Spain, Brazil, Germany, Russia, Myanmar and some East African countries - they're hardly rare. But what is rare is getting your hand on a larger gemstone, since they are usually found in smaller fragments in the mines. Happy hunting!
