Over a period of six years, Thomas Kinkade painted under the brush name of Robert Girrard, using techniques of the French Impressionists Monet, Manet and Renoir. This anonymity allowed him the freedom to experiment in style and subject matter, to explore with palette, brush strokes and broken color. This signed, limited-edition "Sunlight Garden" canvas will made a lovely addition to your collection.

Interested in learning more about this piece? Read what Thomas Kinkade had to say about his artwork: "Sunlit Garden" was painted in the plein-air style preferred by the French masters, with a freedom of brushstroke and boldness of color that embraces the style of the French Impressionist masters. As I worked, I was observed by a weathered old peasant woman, dressed in black, who commented approvingly, "très jolie, très jolie" (very beautiful). I imagine Monet might have received similar tribute." - Thomas Kinkade

He often travelled the world and used his talents to support humanitarian relief and make a difference in people's lives. Artwork for the 'everyman,' his pieces are often of landscapes, lighthouses, cabins, cottages, gardens and Christmas scenes.

Thomas Kinkade has been a licensed partner with Warner Bros since 2009 and his work has been commissioned for DC Comics, Looney Toons and The Wizard of Oz. He also worked with the Walt Disney Company since 2005 and was asked to paint Sleeping Beauty's castle in Disneyland.
