A Southern Classic! Based on a Paula Deen recipe, these shrimp and grit cakes are crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. What makes these particular cakes so special are the grits and shrimp - the two main ingredients. Most people aren't a fan of grits, however, these are not your ordinary grits - these grits are stone-ground grits - meaning they are a gourmet style that goes perfectly with the plump Louisianan shrimp stuffed inside. The special thing about the shrimp is it's added raw in the recipe, whereas other recipes call for fully cooked shrimps, making the shrimps chewy because it has been cooked more than once. In this recipe, you will enjoy the most tender shrimp in every bite leaving it bursting with flavor. You could use these as an appetizer, a side for dinner or for breakfast with a sunny side or pouched egg on top.

Preparation Instructions:
  • To Sauté: Thaw. Sauté in butter or oil on medium heat for 3 - 4 minutes per side.
  • To Bake: Preheat oven to 400`F. Brush with butter.
  • If Thawed: Bake 12 - 15 minutes.
  • If Frozen: Bake 20-25 minutes.
  • In Air Fryer: Set to 350°F and cook from frozen 10 minutes each side with a kiss of oil each side. Cook four at a time.
