A striking accent with a rich heritage! Ancient Celtic symbols adorn this Dalriada vase, with a twining knot design in a swag-style drape along the rounded base. The tapered neck then features a classic basket weave pattern and a scalloped rim, as hand-painted green shamrocks complete the Irish motif.

This creation is named for an ancient Gaelic kingdom which extended from Antrim in Ireland to the western part of Scotland now known as Argyle, meaning "land of the Gael." The kings of Dalriada later became the kings of Scotland, beginning with Kenneth McAlpin in the Ninth Century. The collection takes its inspiration from the Celtic knot-work designs found in stone carvings in both Ireland and Scotland, which were typical of the period.
