About the Bomber Jacket
Originally created in 1926, the bomber jacket was designed for pilots who participated in bombing raids. A warm design was needed as these flights often took place at elevations where the temperature was very cold. Typically made of leather or nylon, the jacket contains two front pockets, a lining and zippered front. The waist and cuffs typically feature an elastic or ribbed material. These jackets continued to evolve over the years and became a part of mainstream fashion. The style saw a particular spike in women's apparel during the 1980s.
Zippered closure. Made of 100% polyester. Hand wash cold. Do not bleach. Lay flat to dry. Made in China.
