Cook's Companion® Set of Two Cast Aluminum Ceramic Nonstick Easy Flip Pans

One flip pan is great, two is even better! You heard that right - two flip pans in one great buy! The flip pans are the most innovative cookware of our modern kitchen. I really can't imagine not having one in mine. With newer features like an even better compact profile that makes flipping easier along with all of the familiar features that you loved in the original, stock up or gift one to a family member.

With this set you get one grill easy flip pan for all of your grilling needs and one griddle flip pan for making pancakes, omelets and fried fish. Like before, the pans separate easily into two convenient pans with the easy hinges so they can be used separately or interchangeably by mixing and matching in eight different ways - sear a steak for that amazing grill marks on one side of the pan and then use one of the griddle side of the other pan to pour in liquid and cook to deliciousness.

An ultra-powerful magnet quickly and easily locks the handles shut when in use, sealing in all the moisture and flavor and for flipping so both sides of your food gets equal love and care. With an induction cooktop-compatible base and a PFOA and PTFE-free ceramic nonstick coating interior, the Easy Flip Pan is indeed the cookware of the future, and the present of course.

This offer includes four silicone gaskets - one pre-installed and a spare for each of the pans - that seals the pan when shut to act as a low pressure cooker, perfect for steaming veggies or searing meats. The die cast aluminum construction offers amazing heat transfer and durability while the Fusion ceramic nonstick interior has outstanding food release. The handles are stainless steel with Bakelite for a cool touch. Lightweight and compact, stacking and storing these pans along with your other flip pans is so much easier - perfect for smaller meals and compact spaces. Did we mention 10 fun colors - the most that we've ever offered!

How much cookware you need depends largely upon how often you cook, how many people you cook for and how elaborate your meals tend to be. It's very frustrating when you find yourself in the middle of preparing a big dinner and in need of one more saucepan, but you just don't have it. On the other hand, it can be very easy to accumulate far more cookware than you actually need.

The Basics
Most people will who do even a small amount of cooking will find a lot of uses for a couple of different size saucepans and a couple of different size skillets. Tight-fitting lids for the saucepans are also important when preparing dishes such as rice.

Beyond the Basics
You can prepare a lot of wonderful meals with just a few pans, but chances are you're going to need some other pieces at some point. Many cookware sets will include at least some of these items:

  • Dutch Oven
This is a large pot with two handles and a tight-fitting lid. It can be used on the stovetop or in the oven. A dutch oven is excellent for preparing large meals such as pot roast or beef stew.

  • Griddle
A griddle lets you turn one or two of your stove burners into a smooth, flat cooking surface that's ideal for foods such as pancakes, french toast and more.
  • Large Saute Pan
A large saute pan, especially one with a tight-fitting lid, is a very useful addition to your kitchen because it can allow you to prepare an entire meal in one pan.

  • Pasta Insert
This is similar to a steamer insert, except a pasta insert is designed to let the food, such as raw pasta, be submerged in boiling water instead of just sitting on top of it. The advantage to a pasta insert is that it is very easy to remove the food from the boiling water once it's cooked?all you have to do is lift out the insert!

  • Steamer Insert
This is a perforated pan that fits inside another saucepan. You can place food, such as raw vegetables, in the steamer insert and then place that in a regular saucepan that is partially filled with boiling water. The holes in the steamer insert will then let steam from the boiling water cook the food. Steaming is a very healthy way to prepare food because it doesn't involve adding any fat.

  • Stock Pot
A stock pot is a very large, tall cooking pot usually with two handles and a tight-fitting lid. Stock pots are primarily used for preparing soups, sauces or stocks in large quantities.

  • Tajine
Originally a heavy, unglazed clay pot, the tajine was used by nomads across Morocco and North Africa. Today it can be found crafted from a variety of materials including earthenware, cast iron and clay. It features a round shallow-sided base with a conical lid. This uniquely shaped lid is what makes it perfect for slow, low-heat cooking - the circulating steam condenses on the inside of the lid and then that moisture "bastes" the cooking food to keep it moist and tender.

Debra MurrayAbout the Guest
From a young age, Debra Ann Murray has been passionate about food and cooking. Growing up in rural New Hampshire, Debra's family tended a large annual garden which fed them throughout the year. In the spring, she would help collect sap to make maple syrup. Debra describes the experience, "I thought my Grandmother was a magician. No matter what we brought her from our gathering - whether berries, grapes, or things from the garden - she would transform them into the most delicious meal or baked goods. You could just feel the love that came from everything she made."

Over the following decades, Debra's passion for cooking and hospitality would grow. She would work in her family's sandwich shop, at catering companies and in restaurants and bars. Eventually, Debra took a job as a food stylist at a TV network. Working behind the scenes, she prepared meals for several on-air guests and high-profile personalities. The celebrities on the network took note of Debra's talents and hired her as their assistants and stylists.

Stepping out from behind the scenes, she soon took center stage, working side-by-side with her high-profile partners. As her career progressed, she authored nine cookbooks and began hosting shows. In 2013, Debra joined EVINE Live where she presents and demonstrates superior-quality kitchen products.

  • Care Information:
    • The Fusion nonstick coating makes this pan easy to clean.
    • While the pan is dishwasher safe, hand washing with a soft dishcloth or sponge is recommended and will prolong the cookware's beauty.
    • Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners, as these may damage the finish.
    • Always preheat your cookware and use low to medium heat when cooking food. This helps preserve the nutrients in food and the nonstick surface. Preheating requires oil, water or food to be in the pan.
    • Heating without food, water or oil may cause damage to the pan or ceramic coating.
    • Never use metal utensils on any ceramic coating surface. It is recommended that you use tools made of nylon, plastic, wood, silicone or melamine.
    • Do not scratch the surface or cut directly on your cookware.
    • Always use extreme caution when handling hot cookware and keep out of reach of children at all times.
