Designed to recharge NiMH and most lithium-ion batteries, the ChargeIt Station can also recharge and help extend the life, to a certain point, of regular disposable alkaline batteries. Four charging bays adapt to different battery types including AAA, AA, C, D. The ChargeIt also has one dedicated 9-Volt battery dock.
To accommodate your growing collection of USB powered mobile devices, two on-board USB ports give you a 1.0A or 2.1A option for charging. The on-board LCD screen displays battery charge and charging status for the four universal charging docks. ChargeIt automatically protects against overcharge and short-circuit so you can charge your batteries and devices with confidence. The Essentials

Recharge A Disposable Alkaline Battery? Is That Possible?
The short answer is yes, but there's a lot more to it than that. It's best if you recharge them before they're completely drained. If a battery is dead, it's dead. Once an alkaline battery is recharged, the shelf life will be shorter than a brand new battery. Although most can be recharged multiple times, eventually, due to the chemical nature of the alkaline structure, recharging will become ineffective. Performance of a recharged alkaline battery and how many charges it can receive depends on many factors including size, brand, age and what sort of device the battery is powering. Recharging results will vary, so keep that in mind. Never attempt to charge expired, damaged, or corroded batteries. Also, be sure to read all of the instructions and safety information included with the ChargeIt! Station before using it.
