Say cheers to refined style! Each flute is a beautiful way to savor your best bottle of bubbly as you ring in the new year. Crafted from red crystal, this tall set boasts a flared edge and the intricate wedge cuts of the Times Square pattern. Perfect for gift-giving season, they come nestled in a satin lined box.

The inaugural New Year's Eve bash, held in 1904, commemorated the official opening of the headquarters of the New York Times with a fireworks display at midnight. Two years later, when the city banned the fireworks display, The Times arranged to have a large, illuminated seven-hundred-pound iron and wood ball lowered from the tower flagpole precisely at midnight to signal the end of 1907 and the beginning of 1908. Since that time, hundreds of thousands of people have gather around the Tower, now known as One Times Square, for the famous New Year's Eve ball-lowering ceremony, as millions nationwide and nearly a billion watching throughout the world unite to count down the final seconds of the year.

When washing by hand, avoid using scouring pads and/or abrasive detergents. To prevent spotting, combine a quarter cup ammonia with a mild lemon detergent. Clean bowls, vases and decanters by filling them half-full with moderately hot water, a small amount of mild detergent, two tablespoons of white vinegar or ammonia and 1/2 cup uncooked rice. Swirl the rice around for a few minutes to remove residue. Do not use an automatic dishwasher as this could cause your crystal to lose its brilliance. Rinse well with warm water and air dry.
