Started by Ted and Matula Gregory in 1951, the couple truly earned the titles of Ribs King and Ribs Queen over the years. Enjoyed by celebrities and politicians alike, the meat is hand-spiced and slow-cooked daily, then finished off on a custom-made broiler. But Matula's secret recipe sauce is the real star, made with only the finest California tomatoes and a super-secret blend of all-natural spices.

  • Packaging: Ships in an insulated divided styrofoam cooler with Dry Ice and will arrive to customer two days after shipping. May arrive with little to no dry ice remaining. (Separate compartment in cooler for sauces.)
  • Shelf Life: Ribs: Three months if kept frozen, seven days refrigerated; Fully Cooked Half Chickens: 180 days if kept frozen, seven days refrigerated; Sausages: 180 days if frozen, 28 days refrigerated; BBQ Sauce: 465 days shelf life. Refrigerate bottle after opening and consume by "Best if Used by Date" on bottles.
  • Care Instructions: Keep frozen until ready to use. When ready, just thaw in refrigerator. Fully cooked.

Ingredients:
  • Montgomery Inn Bratwurst: Pork, water, onions, dextrose, salt, corn syrup, less than 2% sodium lactate, flavorings, spice and spice extract, sodium phosphate, sodium diacetate, parsley, natural hog casing.
  • Montgomery Inn Mettwurst: Pork, water, beef, dextrose, salt, mustard, corn syrup, crushed red peppers, less than 2% sodium lactate, flavorings, spice and spice extract,paprika, garlic powder, sodium erythorbate, sodium nitrite, natural hog casing.
  • Montgomery Inn Fully Cooked Half Chicken: Chicken, lemon juice, salt, spices.
  • Montgomery Inn Ribs: Pork Loin - back ribs, lemon juice, flavorings and colorings, salt Fat free, peanut free, soy free, dairy free, tree/nut free.
  • Montgomery Inn BBQ Sauce: Tomatoes, distilled vinegar, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, water, salt, spices, dehydrated onions, dehydrated garlic, malt vinegar, natural flavors, caramel color and tamarind.
  • Chipotle BBQ Sauce: Tomatoes, distilled vinegar, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, water, dried salt onion, dried Chipotle pepper, spices, dried garlic, natural flavors, malt vinegar, caramel color, and tamarind.

Please Note: Do not touch dry ice without gloves. You may leave it in the cooler outside and it will evaporate harmlessly within 24 hours. Do not put in drinks. Do not eat. Do not touch to skin, mouth or eyes. Do not put into air-tight containers. Keep out of reach of children.

Ribs:
  • Conventional Oven: Set your oven to "BROIL". Remove the thawed ribs from the container and place them on a broiling pan, bottom side up. Cook the ribs for approximately four minutes or until the meat begins to sizzle and pop. Remove the pan from the oven. Turn the ribs over and place pan back in the oven. Cook for an additional three minutes or until the ribs sizzle and pop. Remove the ribs from the oven, place on your favorite platter and top with heated Montgomery Inn BBQ Sauce!
  • Outdoor Grill: Set your grill on "HIGH" or wait until the coals are red hot. After thawing, remove ribs from their package. Place ribs bottom side down and cook the ribs until the meat begins to sizzle and pop, approximately four minutes. Turn the ribs over- topside down - and continue cooking until the ribs sizzle and pop, approximately three minutes. Remove the ribs from the grill, place on your favorite platter and top with heated Montgomery Inn BBQ Sauce!
    Fully Cooked Half Chicken:
    • Stove Top: Preheat your oven to 250° F. Remove thawed BBQ from the container and place in a medium saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, for approximately five minutes. Once fully heated (internal temperature should be 160 degrees F), remove the BBQ from the heat, cover the saucepan, and let sit for 5-7 minutes before serving; this will ensure the heat is evenly distributed. Drizzle warmed BBQ sauce over the BBQ and ENJOY!
    • Microwave: Montgomery Inn BBQ may also be heated in the microwave. Put BBQ into a microwave-safe dish. Cover with plastic wrap and heat for one minute. Carefully remove BBQ from the microwave, stir the BBQ, recover with plastic wrap and heat for an additional minute. Remove from microwave and let sit for an additional minute to allow heat to be evenly distributed.
      Heating Instructions for the Sauce:
    • Stove Top: Pour sauce into a medium saucepan and cook over medium heat. Once the sauce begins to bubble, adjust the burner h eat level to low. Remember to stir the sauce while it h eats to prevent it from burning.
    • Microwave: Montgomery Inn BBQ Sauce may also be heated in the microwave. Pour sauce into a microwave - safe dish. Cover with plastic wrap and heat for one minute or until sauce is piping hot.

  • About Montgomery Inn:
    In 1951 Ted and Matula Gregory opened the original restaurant in the very underdeveloped area of Montgomery, Ohio. It was really just a place for Ted and his friends to gather, but Matula's incredible cooking skills could not be ignored. One night she decided to make ribs, and people went nuts for them. Soon a local critic dubbed Ted the "Ribs King" and the legend was secured. As the town of Montgomery blossomed, word of these incredible ribs spread fast - so much so that the Inn became a mecca for any celebrity passing though town, a tradition that lives on to this day.

    Today there are four locations: the Original Montgomery Inn, the Boathouse, Ft. Mitchell and Dublin.
