Dash or Action Cam
Mount the CDR 900 on your vehicle and enjoy all the benefits of a Cobra dash cam including continuous loop recording, a motion sensor for automatic recording while driving, and a G-Sensor, which senses sudden acceleration and deceleration to automatically protect critical footage surrounding an event. Now, take the CDR 900 out of your car, switch to Action Cam mode and start capturing the world around you in a whole new way. All the smart device interactivity still applies, so venture out and find a new perspective to share with family and friends.
Wi-Fi, Cloud, and Cables
Through the Cobra Drive HD app on your compatible smart device, you can connect to your CDR 900 and control functions, view and share recordings, or even stream live video right on your device. You can also connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network and access it conveniently through the cloud. For a more traditional approach, the camera comes with a USB cable that plugs directly into your computer.
What is Continuous Loop Recording?
Basically, continuous loop recording overwrites old footage as you go unless you've noted it as something you want to save. The dash cam will start at the top of the included 8GB MicroSD card and record all the way through in three minute segments until it gets to the end, then it'll go back to the top and start recording over the oldest video first. You'll have to make sure you designate the important video you want to keep before it's overwritten. Footage associated with a sudden acceleration or deceleration will be automatically protected from overwrite. On the 8GB card, you'll get approximately 1.7 hours of recording at 1080p resolution.
