Thomas Kinkade "McKenna's Cottage" Framed Textured Print
Gel coating is rolled onto the image giving it the "textured" look. We have framed this image in a 3.75" big and bold wood frame, lavished with beautiful, Old World ornamentation. In a deep, rich finish, this silver/bronze frame is heavily antiqued with a dark patina, accented by a raised inside edge, featuring a hammered metal texture effect.
This image was released in 1991 and features Thomas Kinkade's early painting style. Wider brush strokes and a softer color paint palette. Thom painted this image almost entirely on location, when he came across this real cottage in England. He did some finishing touches once he got back to his studio which is the reason this doesn't have the true "Plein Air" style to this image. "There seems to be a quiet stateliness to classic English cottages such as McKenna's Cottage. Every stone seems placed by hand, every bit of thatch carefully bound in place. This is a patient labor of love."
