HOW TO USE:
1. Cleanse your face or skin with a high-quality cleanser to remove all dirt, makeup, and surface oils (we recommend a pH balanced cleanser). Allow the skin to dry.
2. Use the tool. Make sure that the disc is securely in place on the motor shaft and that the safety cap is properly tightened down on the head. Proper placement is important so that the seal will occur and allow the vacuum to operate. Check to see that the small black filter is in place underneath the disc. This filter prevents the debris and dead skin from getting into the vacuum and clogging it.
The large disc is meant to be used on larger surface areas (heels, elbows, chest) while the smaller discs are for the face and tight spots around the eyes, nose and bony parts of the body. It is recommended to test a specific Eviderm disc on a small area of your neck, by your ear, or on the inside of your forearm to see how the disc responds to your skin. Use the least abrasive blue disc first to see how your individual skin type responds. Unique to each individual's specific skin type, it is recommended that you first test your skin's reaction to the disc before placing it on your face. Before applying the Personal Microderm, gently use your fingers to pull the skin tight so that there is little or no slack in your skin. This might not be necessary for younger people who already have tight surface skin.
Place the cap and disc squarely on the surface of your skin so as to create a suction bond. You will hear a distinct change or a suction type sound of the unit when the vacuum seals and creates the bond with your skin. Move the disc over the surface of the skin like you would a vacuum over the carpet in your home. Using straight lines that are in an upward direction is recommended. Make slow constant passes over each area of the face or skin. The first time you use this tool, it is recommended to only make one pass over each section of skin. Make sure you cover the entire area you are treating. You can expect to feel a slight tingle sensation and notice some white, flaking dead skin appear on the surface of your face. Your skin will also turn slightly or light red. To avoid injury, do not hover in one spot for more than a few seconds. It is important to keep the unit moving over your face.
3. After you have exfoliated using the tool, gently wipe the dead skin off the disc. If your cleanser was not pH balanced we recommend applying a high quality toner. Apply a generous amount of the Cell Renewal Moisturizer (not included) to the entire area of the skin that you have treated. If used during the day, be sure to protect your freshly exfoliated skin with additional SPF protection. For optimal results apply the Cell Renewal Moisturizer (not included) each morning and night while using the Personal Microderm. Wait six to seven days minimum before performing another treatment.
4. Remove and rinse the small black filter with water and let dry.
